Polar Express Train Ride

All aboard! Experience first-hand the wonders of the Polar Express on board the Branson Scenic Railway this Christmas season. Guests can soak in the wondrous features of the beloved movie including hot chocolate & cookies, songs/carols from the magical soundtrack of the Polar Express, a reading of the story & more! Visitors and guests of this one-in-a-lifetime train ride can enjoy a variety of other features including a surprise gift for the kids, special meeting times with Santa, caroling to town residents you’ll they pass by and, yes, pajamas are encouraged! This wonderous train ride will take attendees across the Branson Downtown area and out to the edge of the city where other special theaters and attractions can be seen from a far.

There are so many ways to celebrate the season of Christmas around the city of Branson-especially when it comes to the many Christmas themed shows. Get into the spirit of Christmas with dozens of live shows, performances, and variations of heartwarming presentations around the area. Branson Shopping

Branson Landing:
Starting as early as November 1, the entirety of the Branson Landing shopping district is overcome with Christmas décor, carols, the iconic silver reindeer statues, and the famous 50-foot Christmas tree located at the center of the shopping area for the annual “Winter Wonderlanding” event. An Adoration/Nativity Scene is annually placed across from the Branson Landing and over Lake Taneycomo. Santa Claus will be making an appearances November 3-December 24 for photos and visits in front the Christmas house which serves as the base for the 50-ft tree in Town Square. Sadly, Branson’s Most Wonderful Time of Year Parade is canceled this year, but guests can still enjoy the fountain water displays going on at the center of the Landing. The water, fire, and lights will go along to songs like ” All I want for Christmas” by Mariah Carey and other Christmas tunes throughout the season. 

Landing Hours: Monday-Thursday 10 AM- 9 PM, Friday & Saturday 9 AM – 9 PM and Sundays 10 AM- 8PM.

Grand Village:
Visiting the Grand Village off the Branson 76 Strip is always a great idea as the picturesque shops, dining, and art galleries make for a memorable visit. During the Christmas season, guests love visiting the popular Kringle’s Christmas shop opened year round that houses  over 125 decorated Christmas trees, thousands of unique ornaments, and top brand holiday décor. Branson’s Adoration Celebration Parade

To start off the parade, the lighting of the largest Nativity Scene will commence and then comes the annual Adoration Celebration Parade in Historic Downtown Branson. Come see a variety of Christmas floats, costumes, themes, marching bands, performances and music in the most spectacular and special Christmas parade around perfect for the holiday season! Wear your gloves, scarves, coats, chairs, and a thermos filled to the brim with something hot and get ready to enjoy the lights and festivities of this spectacular and beautiful parade!

Christmas at Shepherd of the Hills

Tis the season of lights, cocoa, and adventure. Christmas at the Shepherd of the Hills will be offering a whole list of holiday events and attractions this year including the Trail of Lights, the North Pole Adventure, and the area’s tallest Christmas tree! See a full list of what Shepherd of the Hills will be up to this upcoming holiday season and plan accordingly!

  • A Shepherd’s Christmas Carol Dinner Show(November 2-December 26): Witness a touching, family-friendly holiday production with A Shepherd’s Christmas Carol Dinner Show.

  • Todd Oliver and Friends (November 1-December 31):Meet a comedian on four legs & Todd the ventriloquist.

  • Whodunnit Hoedown-A Christmas Mystery (November 1-Janurary 2):Meet a cast of quirky characters as they unravel a mystery right before you with dinner and lots of laughter along the way. 

  • The Chuckwagon Dinner Show (November 1-January 2): Fun songs, tall tales, and poems all in honor of the heroic American Cowboy.

Big Cedar Lodge

Back in 2017, Big Cedar opened their new synthetic ice skating rink made up of“Xtraice” material which makes the rink usable in the heat of day or the cold of winter. The Winter Wonderland Ice Rink is open every year from mid-November through early January so guests can enjoy a pleasurable skate during the cold and sometimes warm days of the season. Big Cedar has a plethera more to offer in terms of holiday festivities including an outdoor tree lighting ceremony in December, holiday wagon tours, carriage rides, ornament & gingerbread house decorating, breakfast with Santa, ice cream socials and more available yearly! Some events and activities are opened for guests only while others are open to visitors.

Branson’s Ferris Wheel

See Christmas electrified when you climb aboard a gondola on the spectacular lighted Branson Ferris Wheel off the famous 76 Strip. This 150-foot attraction can be seen for miles around and is one of Branson’s newer and popular attractions. Located right next to the Tracks Family Fun Parks, Branson’s Ferris Wheel has room for 240 passengers on their 40 gondolas so there is room for everyone anytime of year! Originally from Chicago’s Navy Pier, this stunning Ferris wheel is now at its new home in Branson and makes quite the show with its 16,000 LED lights visible rain, snow, dark or light.
